Viet Trang Mindful Living Lookbook - A story behind

Mindfulness is my life compass.

When I was asked to manage a new year lookbook production project for the first time at Viet Trang, I saw my brain ran straight to the subject of a mindful living.

As an in-house designer of Viet Trang, I understand deeply their vision and mission to spread a sustainable lifestyle and honor Vietnamese craftsmanship. From my perspective, what makes us a good team is we have the same philosophy and work ethics despite of coming from a various of professional backgrounds. We choose a mindful career path where we can do good while doing bussiness. We are so mindful in communication that we can gain trust from global partners. Therefore, no theme can be suitable for us better than "Mindful Living" for the Spring collection in 2022.

After the concept was accepted internally, I asked my friends from The Sub Lab to join me in the shooting stage. Technically, we told a visual story in which the products addapt in different living spaces. We imagined a home with five main areas: a rustic kitchen, a greenery living room, a concise laundry room, an inspring work place and a peaceful zone for healing. The challenge was we only had an area of 20m2 in our office to set up all five shooting scenes. It turned out to be an 'no difficulties, no discoveries' moment pushing us look around for every liltle thing that we can make a use out of.

I was lucky enough to be able to borrow an typhographic decorative wood piece from my favorite vegan restaurant - Here and Now, for using it in our set. The letters were beautifully written in Plum Village typography style.

It was both thrilling and delightful for me to join the project. I had to make sure my explaination for the topic is persuasive enough for the managers and inspiring enough for my teammates.

Fortunately, we were all satisfied with the final result.
